Raging Sun

Sunset on Lake Michigan from Sleeping Bear Dunes

More like you
More like you
Fill my heart
With your desire

More like you
Touch my lips
With your lips
Sensation lingering

Longing straddles
From the midst
Darkness shines
In your reflection

From the circle of fire
Reach out, pull me
Into the ocean’s depths
To drown away

From my world
That cries for healing
Holding each other’s pain
Until the sun subsides

Raging reds and orange
Fire extinguished
My fire extinguished
With such ease

Will the morning come?

So beautiful and passionate and filled with amazing imagery. Nicely written.

Rob, I would title this, "To a Sun Worshiper." Very nicely written, lots of allegorical stuff.
