The countryside near Oundle, Northhamptonshire, England
Pastel dawn
Hues awaken
Conversing infant sun
Bold answers
Fountain from its soul
Subtle message
Emerge from rays
Dark clouds surrounding
Dampened daybreak drizzle
Within the rain
The rain falls down
Capturing this essence
A tightly closed jar
Apex trapping
Weeping hourglass
Outside time’s circle
Moving hands depart
Within first light
Yellow-red strings
Passing by
Ochre rising sun
Moment captured
Seconds split
At the easel
Muted silence
Awakened spirit
Light within
Shining darkness
At the edge of
A rainbow’s shadow

spiritual and magic words
So beautiful--subtle and delicate and magical.
"infant sun" wow! I would never think to depict the sun as infant, what an image but every day born anew, eh? Thanks!
Deeply mystical this one. Excellently done.
Subtle message. Beautifully done.
The weeping hourglass fascinated me. It's a lovely poem.

hello Rob, this is wonderful. I had to pause to take it in. this happened to me yesterday, but with a golden field of flowers (on my other blog).
So very nice, Rob. I liked to to hear the contemplation and considerations that went into this painting.
We are in London for a bit. Nothing here looks like your picture. But it did when we stayed at Lakenheath Air Base one other time.

Lovely words with a gentle touch and wonderful imagery. A pleasure to read.

I loved the imagery in those lines especially, but the whole poem was beautiful!

hi rob... enjoyed where you were with this ku...the expressions unfolded in such a way as your eyes and heart encouraged the pen to write... was taken aback by an infant sun.. always thought of the sun as this huge fireball.. tho continuing on it fit perfectly with all the other natural elements of a beautiful rainy dawn...
